The Find

We’re currently in the middle of a home remodel so I’ve been looking for off-the-cuff items to spruce up our space. Luckily, I’ve found a hidden gem where I could find vintage one-of-a-kind items on the cheap - the local thrift store. So far, I’ve picked up a vintage army cot (for an upcoming DIY project), a leather trunk, and other cool decor items. IMG_0026

On my latest trip I came across this vintage structured tobacco leather bag. It's over 30 years old, but the full grain leather still looks brand new. I love the boxy silhouette and the classic buckle detailing. I’ll use it as a camera bag when I'm out and about and as a decor piece when it's not in use. It cost me $25, more than I usually spend at this place, but totally worth it.

Styling 101: Proof That a Pop of Print Goes a Long Way

To help us get our Spring styling in order, we're looking to Tank editor Caroline Issa — one of our biggest girl crushes — for a lesson in prints. The beauty was recently spotted donning a bright pink hibiscus printed skirt with sharp white separates for a fun yet polished look. For added chic, the editor accessorized with statement pumps and cool aviators. The key takeaway? Temper one bright print with neutral accompaniments for a perfectly balanced play on powerful patterns. Needless to say, we'll be trying out this look once it hits 65 degrees, and you can too. Spring Forward

As the days get longer, and the nights shorter, one can't help feeling the Spring shopping itch. That being said, I was strolling down the street the other day (after my boyfriend called and said he was running late for our dinner date), and decided to pop into Creatures of Comfort for a quick peruse. The fashion gods must have been watching over me because they were hosting a huge sale. After browsing the racks, I came across these awesome LD Tuttle cowboy-ish boots. It's hard to tell in the photos, but they're the perfect pale blush hue and even more, they're super comfortable. Perfect for pairing with all of my little white dresses and cropped pants come sunshine . . .
